    TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem jointing system offer a comprehensive range of joints for all cable types. TE’s Raychem MXSU & MXST are based on a joint design using mechanical connectors for conductor and wire shields which are also supplied with the kit.

    The kits are widely range taking and cover most conductor constructions including their tolerances. Due to the mechanical connectors the joints are easy to install with no crimping tools needed when connecting the cables and no tool maintenance required.

    TE’s Raychem MXSU & MXST are short joints of a space saving design, an essential characteristic when space is limited. Reliability and performance are essential when it comes to customer demands and the MXSU & MXST exceeds international performance standards including CENELEC HD 629 or IEC 60502-4 for joints.

    TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem CSJT joints offer a fast and easy-to-install jointing system to assure and maintain high power network reliability. The joints are designed to cover a wide range of applications and accommodate a variety of cable and conductor types. The high-performance liquid silicone material, specially formulated for excellent tracking and split resistance, is used to make the silicon rubber body of the joints.

    The polyurethane-type resin has the same elasticity as cable outer jacketing, providing excellent water and moisture sealing performance for underground direct-buried and manhole applications.

    TE’s Raychem Cold Shrink Resin Joints can be easily installed in the field without any special resin injection tools, due to the high flowing resin and specially designed valve. The joints are tested in accordance with IEC 60502-4 and HD 629.1 standards, ensuring decades of operating life.

    TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem CSJT joints offer a fast and easy to install jointing system to assure and maintain high power network reliability. The joints are designed to cover a wide range of applications and accommodate a variety of cable and conductor types. The silicon rubber body of CSJT is made of high performance liquid silicone material which is specially formulated for excellent tracking and split resistance.

    TE’s mechanical connector ensures a reliable connection of different conductor materials in today’s network. Its preset shear torque of the bolts and special designed surface ensures the correct contact pressure and effectiveness of electrical connection. All connectors meet the criteria of IEC-61238-1 class A and GB 9327.

    TE also provides multiple options for application in harsh environment, such as with TE’s Raychem CRSM heat-shrink wraparound to enhance reliability for longer service time under water, or with TE’s Raychem RFPT self-adhesive inflaming retarding tape to reinforce fire-resistance capacity, or with fast and easily filled resin outer sealing and protection system to provide effective water and impact resistance.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION : RAYCHEM SCREENED ADAPTOR SYSTEM RSES/RSSS 250 A, 24 kV

     

    1. Screened Body
    A 3 mm conductive moulded outer screen is permanently bonded to the EPDM insulating material of the body.

    2. Capacitive Test Point
    Used to determine if the circuit is ener gised; can also be used for phasing. Electrically protected by a cap made of EPDM.

    3. Stress cone
    Computer designed, it relieves electrical stress at the cable screen cut of the termination.

    4. Conductive Cable Entrance
    The 25 mm conductive end provides a connection to the cable screen. Construction and Design

    5. Earthing Eye
    Provides a connection point for the screen of the body to the earth.

    6. Inner Screen
    Conductive insert provides a “Faraday cage“ around the compression connector and eliminates corona at rated voltage.

    7. Retaining Shoulder
    To fix a retaining collar onto the adaptor for easy installation with two screws.

    8. Compression Pin-Connector
    Bimetallic compression pin-connector designed with locking ring, to connect both aluminium and copper conductor cables.

    9. Lifting Eye
    A lifting eye firmly attached to a moulded-in insert provides a secure disconnection point.

    10. Pin
    Tin plated copper electrode, designed and tested to carry 250 A continuous current. The hexagonal wrench to fix the pin onto connector is supplied with each kit.

    11. Compression Connector
    Bimetallic compression connector to connect both aluminium and copper conductor cables.

    Raychem separable Screened Adaptors are designed to connect single-core polymeric cables to medium voltage equipment (transformers, switchgears, motors etc.) up to 24 kV.

    Made of crosslinked EPDM and protected with a minimum 3 mm moulded conductive shield connected to earth, Raychem deadbreak adaptors are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. Their wide application range allows a minimum number of bodies to cover several different cable cross-sections without the need for additional cable adaptors. The cut-back dimensions mfor all cable sizes are the same for our Raychem RSSS and Raychem RSES adaptors.

    Raychem Screened Adaptors are equipped with a capacitive test point to ensure that the circuit is not energised before disconnection. The capacitive test point is protected by a conductive cap. A range of high strength bimetallic compression connectors tested to VDE 0220 are offered to connect both aluminium and copper conductor cables. After cable preparation and lubrication, the Raychem Screened Adaptors can simply be slid into place under virtually all conditions. A separable mounting system provides for an easy installation of the adaptor onto the bushing.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION : SCREENED SEPARABLE ELBOW CONNECTION SYSTEM ELBC

    1. Base connector
    Sandwich-molded screened EPDM body is long lasting and weather-resistant for outdoor applications.

    2. Inner screen
    A conductive inner layer, as a faraday cage around the compression or mechanical lug, prevents corona at rated voltage.

    3. Mechanical lugs
    Mechanical lugs with shear bolts for connecting either aluminium or copper conductor cables.

    4. Stress cone adapter
    Relieves electrical stress at the point where the cable screen is cut. The insulated section, extending beyond the wire shielding, provides a convenient point for oversheath testing.

    5. Earthing eye and ground lead
    Provides a connection point for earthing the screen.

    6. Threaded pin set
    A threaded pin together with a nut and washer ensure high-performance electrical and mechanical contact with the bushing.

    7. Rear plug with test point
    Removable rear plug with capacitive test point.

    8. Test point
    The test point is used to determine whether the circuit is energised; alternatively it can be used for phasing.

    9. Conductive end cap
    Electrical screen and protection of the rear end of the separable connector.

    10. Coupling boult
    Together with threaded pin, nut and washer ensure high electrical and mechanical performance with the previously installed base connector.

    11. Coupling Connector
    Sandwich-molded screened EPDM body is long lasting and weather-resistant for outdoor applications.
